Well, I'm going to have to learn how to copy something with a picture in it.
Love that tree with the cat in it, Mel.

I was just texting with Carmen (Cricket55). She's planning to sign up from work in the morning. Yay!
She wanted me to let y'all know she's really missed all of us, and she's looking forward to getting back on PF.

The house is quiet, other than “house noise “ that is different.
Rainy with thunderstorms here tonight

I've been working on getting some of the most frequently used smilies from the old board installed over here.
I'm sure that some are still missing, but it is a work in progress.
To see all the available smilies, you have to click the reply button to go to the full reply screen not just the quick reply box at the bottom of the thread.
I have an early day at work tomorrow, so off to bed.
Good night!

Heh heh! Welcome, Carmen! Happy to see you here. People in this area are generally pretty friendly, especially to talk with one-on-one. I was loading up my stuff to head out this morning and my dogs were barking at someone walking a dog. I wish they wouldn't do that, *blush* , but that's what dogs do. When the dog popped into sight, I waited for the walker & commented that she has a nice dog. She took that as a invite to stop and talk. We introduced ourselves & talked about our dogs. She was very surprised that the dog walked right up to me and made friends - wagged her tail, sniffed my shoes, held up her head for me to pet her. That encouraged the woman to talk some more. She said the dog, Daisy, almost never, ev-er allows anyone to pet her. I chuckled, told her dogs usually pick me out as a dog person right away. We talked about the neighborhood, Lawton, her kids being grown ... and finally went on.
My BFF in South Dakota called at 8:30 last evening, and we talked till 10 minutes of 1 a.m. We had a blast! Hadn't had a chance to visit in quite awhile. I am sleepy today though.

I took Dad to the bank to take care of some business this morning. On the way home we stopped at a local Amish farmer's market type store. They had Elk sausage which I bought for lunch. I've never had elk before. It was good for something different, but I don't think it is something that I would want very often.

Way back in January, my niece got married. Today's mail included the Thank You card for my wedding gift. It's nice that they are sending thank you notes, but after nearly 9 months, I had forgotten what I even gave them.
The rain finally let up enough that I could get my lawn mowed this afternoon and it really needed it.
