In what appears to be a blatant contradiction of the truth of God's word, the Church of England released a statement on Wednesday announcing it will allow congregations to bless same-sex unions but will maintain a traditional definition of marriage. The subhead for the release on the churchofengland.org website says, "For the first time, under historic plans outlined today, same-sex couples will be able to come to church to give thanks for their civil marriage or civil partnership and receive God's blessing." The Bishops of the Church of England, the release says, will issue an apology later this week to LGBTQI people for the "rejection, exclusion and hostility they have faced in churches and the impact this has had on their lives." Furthermore, the Bishops will "urge all congregations in their care to welcome same-sex couples 'unreservedly and joyfully' as their reaffirm their commitment to a "radical new Christian inclusion founded founded in scripture, in reason, in tradition, in theology and the Christian faith as the Church of England has received it based on good, healthy and flourishing relationships and in a proper 21st century understanding of being human and of being sexual." www.charismanews.com/culture/91242-church-of-england-says-same-sex-marriage-couples-cannot-marry-but-will-receive-god-s-blessing

In what appears to be a blatant contradiction of the truth of God's word, the Church of England released a statement on Wednesday announcing it will allow congregations to bless same-sex unions but will maintain a traditional definition of marriage. "what appears to be" - ? This idea of "allowing" congregations to bless same-sex unions while they maintain a traditional definition of marriage doesn't just "appear to be" a contradiction, but is in reality a gigantic, huuuuuge contradiction. Let me tell them: THIS IS DEFINITELY WHERE YOU CAN'T HAVE YOUR CAKE ~ AND EAT IT TOO! People need to run from any church anywhere that takes this view. Of course, this sort of blasphemous thing happens in the endtimes so I think those of us who've done any reading and study of God's Word can see this phenomenon for what it is - a falling away from God's Word, from the teachings of Jesus Christ; and a more entrenched following of Satan, which will surely lead us day after day more quickly to seeing the return of Jesus Christ to rapture His followers out of this misery.

I'm starting to wonder if any of the big Christian denominations at all are still faithful to Biblical teaching. I know that there are individual church congregations in most of these denominations that are still faithful as well as faithful individual persons and families even in many of the more blatantly apostate churches, but I don't know if any of the once strong denominations taken as a whole are still on the strait and narrow. "Nevertheless when the Son of Man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:8-B)
