You might have often speculated that people will buy just about anything if a fancy designer makes it and slaps a very high price tag on it. Case in point: Literal trash bags for $1,800: Balenciaga is raising eyebrows — and getting trashed — over its "Trash Pouch," a baffling design "inspired by a garbage bag" with an even more outrageous price tag: a hefty $1,790. The luxury fashion house's shiny drawstring bag — which is made out of calfskin leather, emblazoned with a subtle logo and comes in the basic Hefty bag black along with the solid Glad-esque white as well as yellow and blue — is making its way to stores after debuting in the Fall 2022 ready-to-wear collection in Paris last March. Just think: With this thing slug over your shoulder, you can rock the same look as countless avant garde trash-taker-outers. notthebee.com/article/if-youve-got-a-ton-of-money-to-waste-then-go-ahead-and-buy-this-1800-pouch-made-to-look-like-a-kitchen-trash-bag?fbclid=IwAR3ELDdOHIrhYpgYZK-UKzvAUSVWItxZ4I6gqpVzG5wiSeok6rO2PFAZLNI

Just think: With this thing slug over your shoulder, you can rock the same look as countless avant garde trash-taker-outers. Hmm, y'know how there have been programs in the past couple of years that paid people to basically not work. First thought I had was if this 'designer trash bag' is ultimately supposed to more normalize homelessness. <-- The small city I live in has a growing homeless and street people issue, which may make me more sensitive to think something like this.
