Drones will be delivering Blue Bell ice cream in Texas starting this week.

Wing will be staging drones in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex at local Walgreen's beginning April 7 with service to tens of thousands of suburban homes in the City of Frisco and Town of Little Elm.

In addition to Blue Bell ice cream, they’ll be delivering items with three new partners in Frisco and Little Elm. Items from Walgreen's, as well as prescription pet medications from easyvet, and first aid kits from Texas Health.

They promise the ice cream will stay frozen, even on hot summer days!

Blue Bell ice cream is pretty doggone good ice cream. I'd give this service a try, if it weren't too pricey. :Becky

Can't you just imagine it? - mom & dad at work, kids at home splashing in the kiddie pool and shooting each other with super soakers. It's July, and it's 106 degrees. One of them calls mom & begs, "can we have ice cream? puh-leeze?!?" Mom pushes the Walgreens app on her cell phone & orders Blue Bell rocky road, and sends it to her linked address. 30 minutes later, kids are outside picking up the drone delivery. :heh
