BALTIMORE (WBFF) - A meat recall involving possible listeria contamination has now expanded.
Earlier this month, Alexander & Hornung, a Michigan business unit of Perdue Premium Meat Company, recalled 234,391 pounds of fully cooked ham and pepperoni products due to possible listeria contamination.
Now, that recall has been expanded to 2,320,774 pounds of meat. The problem was discovered when the company notified the Food Safety and Inspection Service that samples of products tested positive for listeria.
The products being recalled have establishment number “EST. M10125” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.
