Pentagon scientists working inside a secretive unit set up at the height of the Cold War have created a microchip to be inserted under the skin, which will detect COVID-19 infection, and a revolutionary filter that can remove the virus from the blood when attached to a dialysis machine.
The team at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) have been working for years on preventing and ending pandemics.
One of their recent inventions, they told 60 Minutes on Sunday night, was a microchip which detects COVID infection in an individual before it can become an outbreak.
The microchip is sure to spark worries among some about a government agency implanting a microchip in a citizen.
Officials who spoke to the 60 Minutes team said the Pentagon isn't looking to track your every move.
A more detailed explanation was not given.

On the one hand, my initial reaction was for my heart to drop into my stomach. But on the other hand, that makes me want to because I think something like this would bring the rapture ever sooo much closer. (you know, I'm thinking the next step would be to make that chip track people who are vaccinated, limit people's comings and goings based on whether they've been vaccinated. And you know, the vaccines are only supposed to last about 6 months, so people will be getting "booster shots" of who-knows-what for the rest of their lives, and I keep hearing how our life expectancy is decreasing.)

My thoughts are running along the same lines.
At the very least, all of these new technologies and procedures related to the supposed pandemic could very well be conditioning people to be ready to more easily accept the mark of the Beast when the time comes.
Edit to add: No, I don't think that these chip implants are the actual Mark, but I do believe that they are one of the many things that are getting people ready for it. Another thing that I think falls into that category is the way that nearly all public buildings and even many businesses around here have someone stationed at the door with a digital thermometer to get people used to having their forehead scanned before being allowed in to do business.

I hadn't connected the temperature scans. You make a really good case for that - some places have a temperature scanner that you step up to, but don't lean into enough to touch, and it scans & reports your temperature on an attached screen. You don't have to have an employee taking their time to scan you, someone just needs to look up from the front desk area to see that screen & tell you to come on in & sign in. Things are moving toward the end pretty fast, far faster than I'd have ever imagined possible.
