FILIPINO STYLE SAUCE FOR SPAGHETTI OR BAKED MACARONI
5 to 8 cloves garlic
1 Medium Size Red Onion
1 pound Ground Beef
1/2 pound Spiced Ham, diced
1/2 pound Hotdog diced
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. marjoram
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
1 large can pineapple tidbits (fruit and the juice)
Large Pack Tomato Sauce (Ragu or similar)
Margarine or Butter for Sauteing
Salt to taste
1 small beef or chicken cube
1 small pack tomato paste
¼ cup Quick Melt Cheese (Optional)
Brown ground beef in hot pan, observe that the oil from the beef will slowly appear. Cook beef until brown. Remove the meat from the pan and place in platter. If need more oil, heat margarine or butter in the same pan. Cook the hot dog, then the ham and remove from pan. In the same pan, saute the garlic first, until light brown, then toss the onion until caramelized, then place back the meat, spiced ham, and hotdog. Season with paprika, marjoram, oregano, black pepper, soy sauce, a little bit of salt. Add the Tomato Sauce and the juice from pineapple tidbits, cook for 10 minutes stirring constantly. Then add the pineapple tidbits. Stir every now and then to avoid lumps in the bottom of the pan. Cook for about 30 mins. adding a little bit of hot water when necessary. Place 1 small beef or chicken cube. When almost done, place the tomato paste, then the Quick Melt Cheese (Optional). Stir and cook for 10 minutes or until the sauce reach your desired thickness. Then it is done!
SPAGHETTI
Pour sauce over the cooked spaghetti.
BAKED MACARONI
In a dish, arranged the following:
1st – Cooked Macaroni or 1st – Cooked Macaroni mixed with the Sauce
2nd – Layer with Sauce 2nd – Layer with Nestle Cream
3rd – Layer with Nestle’ Cream (Do not Mix) 3rd - Quick Melt Cheese
4th – Quick Melt Cheese
Microwave for about 1 minute or until cheese melts. Then it’s done!
