For my part, I believe that the sign gifts like speaking in tongues were primarily meant for the early days of the church before the New Testament was complete.
While i do believe that the Holy Spirit can and sometimes does still give these gifts occasionally for a special purpose, I do not believe that they are the normal experience for all Christians.

I tried to vote in the poll, but I couldn't find a 'submit' button, so I don't know that my vote will be counted. I vote "No". I have seen speaking in tongues set up nasty divisions in a couple of churches that otherwise appeared to be pretty grounded in scripture. The Bible does say that people shouldn't speak in tongues unless someone is present to translate or explain what was said.

Nope!
As a new Christian, I met someone who told me that if I didn’t speak in tongues, than I wasn’t saved.
I preceded to let her know that I disagree.
I told her that since I have enough trouble speaking in English, as I mess up words,( even back in my early twenties, lol,) that I wasn’t interested in yet another rule … (especially coming out of a very legalistic religion.)
FYI: I just talk with/to my Abba Father with the freedom that comes because of my personal relationship with my Creator, Jesus, my Lord & Savior, Master & Forgiver & through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, I am free to speak to Him!
I know the Truth, and have been set free. I sense God’s leading & my Blessed Hope is Jesus! He loves me as His precious daughter, whether I do anything at all or just sit at His feet. He loves me as a part of His precious Bride, the body of Believers!

Additionally the video did not go anywhere.
