When I used to work part time at one of our local grocery stores, the Wienermobile would set up shop in our parking lot on a Saturday about once a year. Our lot would be wall to wall people waiting in line for the free hot dog samples and coupons and free toys (usually hot dog shaped whistles but sometimes hot wheels style Wienermobile cars) for the kids.
Those visits brought a lot of extra business into the store, but we always had a huge mess to clean up afterwards from all of the discarded wrappers and such.

Those visits brought a lot of extra business into the store, but we always had a hugh mess to clean up afterwards from all of the discarded wrappers and such. I can believe that. When the taco truck sets up outside the central Wal-Mart, there's a lot more trash blowing around. Well, I hope the Frankmobiles are still a good thing. I remember a year or two ago I read at least 2 articles about how Oscar Mayer was considering ending their use of these fun mobiles. One of the articles had a survey that asked questions about the participant's views on the vehicle roaming around on their local highways & streets, and whether they'd seen the mobile in or near their town, whether they'd attended a 'stop' to get coupons & samples and if the crew had been friendly & helpful. <-- Makes me wonder if there were a lot of those surveys around the country & whether Oscar Mayer received enough positive comments to affect their decision to keep the program going.

When something's not broke, don't try to fix it. (just my opinion )
