But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that ye should be written to, for ye know perfectly well yourselves, that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief by night. When they may say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon her that is with child; and they shall in no wise escape. But ye* brethren are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you as a thief: for all ye are sons of light and sons of day; we* are not of night nor of darkness. So then do not let us sleep as others do, but let us watch and be sober; for they that sleep sleep by night, and they that drink drink by night; but we* being of the day, let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as helmet the hope of salvation; because God has not set us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who has died for us, that whether we may be watching or sleep, we may live together with Him. 1Th.5:1-10

Amen! Blessed Lord and Father we thank you again for Your Son, our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ and this great salvation He has purchased for us through His shed blood in that sacrifice He willingly made on our behalf. We thank You for His great resurrection for our justification. We thank you that now He sits upon Thy Right Hand awaiting the day His enemies are made His footstool. We thank you that He is the Light of the world; and that in Him we may walk in light shunning darkness and the corrupted fruits thereof. And as your Apostle Paul who wrote these words assuring us we know perfectly well that You have not set us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ who died for us. We thank You that we have the great prospect of eternity with Him Who lives eternally. As we see darkness increasingly coming upon this world, we anticipate our Lord's soon up-call for us that we may be eternally with Him. We pray that His words be ultimately fulfilled!
Therefore, let us be Your ambassadors here on earth redeeming the time that others may hear Thy glad Gospel tidings. That you may save sinners from the wrath to come. That the Body of Christ be filled up. Even as we see these times and seasons upon us, let Your perfect will be done!
Even so, come Lord Jesus!
