Eighteen people were shot inside a Walmart near the Cielo Vista Mall, according to NBC News affiliate KTSM. Mayor Dee Margo told KTSM that there are multiple fatalities and three suspects have been taken into custody.
El Paso police and multiple other law enforcement agencies were responding to a shooting at Hawkins and Gateway East, including the ATF and FBI. Law enforcement said the scene was still active.
