If you google "700 Club Word of Knowledge" and look at the images, you find this one:
www.cbn.com/tv/1418680824001It's part of an extended 700 Club Spiritual Wisdom Seminar, which includes a piece on "soaking prayer", which is held in the Toronto Airport (some kind of lounge -?) where you're invited to sit or lie down and concentrate on Jesus and just let the Holy Spirit cover you up with His "soaking prayer" . . .
But, before they got into that (some woman was doing that video), I somehow got onto Gordon Robertson Teaching on the Word of Knowledge, here:
www.cbn.com/tv/1418680811001 When I clicked on it on my cell phone, I was able to open it; but on the PC, it tells me "This Video is No Longer Available." Here's the trick of how to get to it. First, go here:
www.cbn.com/tv/1418680824001 <-- that's the woman talking about other things. Look below that and on the righthand side is a video that pictures Gordon Robertson with the title underneath: Gordon Robertson Teaches on the Word of Knowledge. Run your cursor over it, and you'll get a black arrow in a circle at bottom right corner. Click that and the video will load. It's 4 min 28 sec long.
What follows is basically a transcript of it. It's not 100% word-for-word, but it's pretty close.
He's calm, rather quiet, and teaches right along to tell us at the start about how he, his dad, and others will pray and they'll
"get supernatural messages from God about specific diseases and illnesses and people who are asking for answers from God. And we join with them and we get answers and we share it with them and people get healed.
God speaks to us, and we share it and people get healed. People get set free and people get financial miracles. People hear from God.
You need to understand,
this is a normal part of the Christian experience. I want to make it as simple as possible. If you hear from God, you have all you need to exercise the Gifts of the Spirit. It's that simple. You just haven't taken it to the next level.
Here's the promise for hearing. It's from John chapter 10, verse 27: My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me."
...
"If you hear from God, you're halfway home. Now all you have to do is repeat it. It's that simple. Prophecy is just repeating what you hear from God. Word of knowledge ... Word of wisdom is just repeating what you hear from God. Don't make it too complicated.
It's good to get into the Greek and we can research the Hebrew words and get into what the Old Testament prophets did. All of that's good to do, but in the process, don't get all twisted with it and complicated with it. Keep it simple and being just like a little child. Jesus says so clearly, "If you're like a little child, you enter into the Kingdom of God." Just trust Daddy. That's all you have to do. (it was unclear here where he stopped quoting Jesus)
And just like little children, we get to ask Dad questions. For those who are parents, you know when you have little children, they ask all kinds of questions (he gives several examples in a run-on sentence format). The neat thing we have is we get to ask God questions and when you use that Gift and that Tre-MEN-dous Privilege (first time he's used that term), you open up
a whole door of revelation where you can start asking Him for all kinds of things. Here's
the Secret to it, it comes from Jeremiah 33:3. I call this "God's Phone Number". Memorize it: Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.
This is a license where you get to ask God questions. All that's required is that you don't know the answer. If you don't know the answer, come to Daddy and say, "I don't know. Show me."
Now, when we pray for Words of Knowledge, one of my usual prayers is "God, who do you want to heal today? Or, God, what do you want to heal today?" And He answers. He shows me. He shows me great and mighty things that I do not know. And He will do that for you. He is no respecter of persons. What He has done for others, He will do for you.
He treats all of His children equally and He loves them all. He loves YOU infinitely, and
whatever He's given as gifts to others, He will give to you.
All you have to do is ask for it.
Now, here's
a great promise, Psalm 107:19 through 20: They cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
That can happen to you. The first part of that, "They cried out to the Lord", so if you're in trouble, if you are sick, if you have needs,
all you have to do is be like a little child and cry out to Daddy, and He'll come and He'll answer and He will send His word and heal you."
