Maine’s Governor signed a bill into law Wednesday that will make it legal for terminally ill patients to pursue medically assisted suicide. Governor Janet Mills approved the law, named the “Death with Dignity Act,” after it narrowly passed both houses of the Maine legislature.
Maine becomes the 8thstate to pass medically assisted suicide laws. It is also legal in Washington, D.C.

I would submit that the patient's judgment is impaired because they clearly do not know scripture about the value of life or they would not want to pursue this end to their life. After, this bill does say the patient must be "afflicted with an illness that would bring death within six months." So, you never know what God might have in mind for that person in the time they have remaining. Of course, there are slang and euphemistic names for this process of "assisted suicide." Do you suppose those slang terms make someone uncomfortable? I'm really curious as to who was speaking in this part of the article: Well, isn't this what she's just accomplished by signing the bill? I think so. I do not support this bill at all.
