‘Evening Folks!
Warner day today & slow moving morning. Thankfully headed home now after getting to a grand daughter’s soccer game, etc etc.
Yesterday I enjoyed an off devices kind of day. DH drove & visited my deceased friend’s DH yesterday afternoon. The drive is a little over 2 1/2 hrs. He came home last night, so that was good.
‘Slept in this morning & skipped another grand’s game.
‘Visited DD#3 & family after the game.
May you all have a blessed evening!

I picked up some groceries and a few other things that I needed from Walmart this afternoon.
For supper, I had an easy meal of an egg salad sandwich and a glass of iced tea, and some fresh pineapple for dessert.
Now I am just relaxing at home and watching reruns of Walker Texas Ranger this evening. The older shows are so much better than most of what they make now.

Hi, Jeanette! Sounds like things are going well with you and yours. Now I am just relaxing at home and watching reruns of Walker Texas Ranger this evening. The older shows are so much better than most of what they make now. I agree with you on that, Mel! I've watched a couple of old NCIS episodes, and I just switched over to Bones. Background noise. I've been sorting saved links on this old computer. I want to post some of the recent meals I've fixed - because they are sooo tasty, but I just found out this old box won't let me have 2 windows open to switch back & forth between the recipe page & the PF page I'm trying to post on. Welp, guess I'll print them out, and then let the paper lay next to the computer and I'll copy it, by hand, to the recipe forum. It's ok - I'm kind of an old-fashioned gal anyway. Dinner was delicious. I cooked a couple of turkey tenderloins all day in the crockpot after letting them marinate overnight is a delicious broth that included honey, dijon mustard, unsalted vegetable broth, and some spices. Also whipped up a new fettuccine recipe that was all based on cooking the ingredients in a skillet. That was tasty too. We didn't go anywhere today, neither of us. I've been outside once; I suspect Sweetie has been out back once & out front once. We are planning to go shopping for a TV for the den tomorrow. And I'm treating at Braum's for ice cream afterwards. I was going to make a honey-applesauce cake as part of our celebration of the Jewish New Year, but I'll do that probably next weekend. I know - starting at sundown yesterday, we're in the "10 Days of Awe", the purpose of which is personal introspection to see where one has been in or out of God's Will for their lives and that ends with fasting for Yom Kippur. The point being, that I can stay joy-filled and bake that cake next weekend. Hope everyone has a great rest of this day. Football games have been lame today but there's one coming on at 9 p.m. that we're both somewhat interested in - Colorado State at Colorado. We're Colorado Coach Deion Sanders fans. See y'all later or tomorrow. Sunday: I had to come back & edit this post because I'd mixed up the 2 Colorado teams. We support the Colorado Buffaloes & that's the team Deion Sander is coaching. They won in 2nd overtime last night. I didn't stay up to watch it, but Edward watched the highlights this morning.

Good morning! It is 54 degrees here this morning with a forecast high of 65 for this afternoon. There is no rain in our weather forecast for today, but it is staying really dark here this morning, and the sky surely looks like it could storm at any time. Last night, I was dreaming about riding a unicycle which is something that I have never done or even attempted in real life. I also had a rerun of the dream that I mentioned a couple of weeks ago about the huge fight breaking out at an outdoor church service. I really wish that I knew what that dream was really about and why I keep having it. I don't do much seasonal decorating at my house, but I did find a nice fall piece at Walmart yesterday that I thought would look good on my front door: Pastor Adam is expected to make his return to active ministry at church this morning. Hope you all have a great and blessed Sunday! Edit to add: While I was typing that post up, it has in fact started to rain hard.

At church this morning, we had a visit from one of our church's missionaries that works with the Native American tribes in New Mexico. After that pastor Adam gave a sermon on Baptism and then we had five people baptized.

Good morning! It's 82, with a possible high of 89 this afternoon. It's humid - and the ground is wet. Not sure if we had a shower overnight or a heavy dew! No rain in the forecast for today, but it's probably going to be pretty muggy. That's a nice cross with fall foliage that you found for your door, Mel. Very pretty - and seasonal. How old is your cousin's little girl? That's so cute - cracked me up. My mom used to do funny things like that occasionally. I've gotta run out to the commissary & get these dogs some dry food. I barely had enough to feed them this morning. They have plenty of canned food, but y'know, mealtime is a process with these 3 - and they don't let me forget a step of it! Example: I put the peanut butter jar back in the cupboard because all 3 had eaten breakfast, taken vitamins, & had their little bites of peanut butter bread (I camouflage Fran's & Leela's serum in it; & Milo just gets a little bite of bread smeared with pb because he doesn't need the serum). And they'd gone outside. Well, they quickly came back in & stood around the kitchen doorway, waiting. Ah-ha! They wanted their little dab of plain peanut butter that I give them when we're all done. It's for good behavior. Yes, I got the jar back out and gave each dog a dab of peanut butter on the end of my finger. And then they were happy & wandered off. Okay - now I've gotta run because when I get back from the commissary, we're going shopping for the TV. The fiber crew came yesterday & buried our new fiber line in the front yard. They didn't hook it up, but that's another technician who'll be back in a few days. Edward wants a TV that's new because the color & sound are both fading on the old one, and it won't connect to the new style box we need once we switch to fiber. Ah, technology. Hope y'all have a great Sunday!

Hmm, I think Wal-Mart has swallowed up my Sweetie. I left him in line behind me, just starting to check out as I took the car keys & headed out the door.

Wow! That was pretty cool, but I understand why they kept running! I'd have been afraid of getting caught up in the thing as it fell! Yeh - definitely, I would not try that at home! Jeanette, Edward said the cashier had all kinds of problems checking him out with that TV. She couldn't get her drawer open to get out the key she needed to remove the metal bands that had the coded security tag, and when she finally got her drawer open, she couldn't get the key to work. Somehow, she finally got it all worked out. I said, "Good grief, I could've checked out 10 times!" He had to laugh about it - he really wanted that TV: it's the right type, and it 'just fits' in the space available for it in the den. We stopped at Braum's for double fudge sundaes, which are on sale - really should have gotten singles, . Edward said we are really gonna have to eat healthy this next week to make up for those sundaes! No kidding!!. It's been a strange day - doesn't feel like it should be ten o'clock already. I've got to get ready for bed - it's back to work in the morning. I'm going in a little early because I'm taking off about 3:30. We have a free dinner at 4 p.m. and I'm planning to go to it. Hope you're all doing well ... and have a great night's sleep!
