‘This will not go well’: Yelp to roll out feature allowing consumers to search for businesses that require proof of vaccination for entryLong titled article appeared on twitchy.com on August 5, 2021. It sounds like it could be satire, but apparently it's a plan that's really in the works. This is a great read through of several tweets on the subject. Yelp might think it’s helping consumers, but a few businesses are about to be destroyed online when the company rolls out a new feature that allows users to search for businesses that require proof of vaccination for entry. The move was announced Thursday by White House COVID-19 response coordinator Jeff Zients. One popular commenter, Stephen L Miller who posts under the twitter handle @redsteeze, simply said, "I don't think he's ever used Yelp. This will not go well." Several commenters noted that having this requirements information on Yelp will assist them in deciding which restaurants and businesses to patronize. @dsklang21 even said, "This could be a useful predictive model for finding going-out-of-business sales." Check it out here, and let us know what you think. I would imagine that this would lead to a situation like we had here a few months back when the State ended their mask mandate and left it up to individual businesses if they would continue to require masks.
Some of the more paranoid people would still only go to those places that required masks, but most of the business went to the mask optional businesses.

I think those who support being fully vaccinated will be happy to support businesses that require that; those who are opposed will avoid those businesses - and likely tear them up in ratings on Yelp. I feel sorry for the employees who have been told to take the jab or be let go.
