I finally heard back from the hospital. My surgery is scheduled for 11:30 tomorrow morning. Hope you can get some rest tonight ... We were out showing houses this evening. Nothing that scratched our buyer's itch, so we'll look at a couple more tomorrow. Well, I'm going to see how many pieces of paper I can file before 10 p.m. See y'all tomorrow! I love you guys!

Good morning! Cool breeze blowing this morning but it's predicted to reach the high 90s this afternoon. later: I'm still hounding the home warranty company to get someone signed to get over here & fix our water heater. I'm not angry this morning - I was angry yesterday morning. Today I'm simply frustrated.

Good evening Barb, Mel, & others who stop by!
Tuesday, I had lunch with a gal friend. It was a good two hours of talking, laughing, & a few bittersweet tears re her deceased DH.
In the evening, my DH & I went on a bike ride. My right ankle area was very irritated where I’d been stung a week ago. It remained so all night, I thought because of wearing socks & sneakers.
Today, I went to the gym, attended a class & did some weight machines. Afterwards, I called another gal friend who was glad that I did! We met up in her area, drove to a park area and walked & talked for a good hour! Afterwards, we went to lunch at a restaurant we both like, and talked, laughed etc for about another couple of hours!
We had both admired some flowers outside the restaurant, so I took a picture of them and we went to Lowe’s where we showed the photo to a couple of gals. They didn’t know, but they did have another gal working there that would know ~ if anyone would ~ and she did!
This was a good outing for both my friend and me. She had wanted some stuff for the above ground pool, as well as a few more plants for her deceased DH’s memorial stone & flag in the front of their property.
Praying for both of these strong women.
Meanwhile, my right ankle area continued to be bothersome. So I called the primary care doctor office and was actually able to get in before they closed. Afterwards I went and picked up some antibiotics RX.
Praying the infection clears up from the stung area, as well as the skin to be aok.

PS: DH & I watched “Before the Wrath” on Pure Flix, this evening and it was really good! If any of you are able to view it, it is well done!
It ties the Rapture in with a Galilean wedding ... it’s Narrated by Kevin Sorbo ...

Good morning! Gonna be a hot summer day here today. It's humid - if it were drier, it would be pretty pleasant outside. Praying for Mel's recovery. I know he may not have internet service for a few days so I'm hoping his surgery went well. He has someone checking in on Miss May to keep her fed and watered. I'm praying she stays calm & all goes well with her - she'll surely miss Mel. Happy to hear you were able to get an Rx for your stings, Jeanette! I sat outside last evening for close to an hour and enjoyed a up of coffee before I went to bed. Leela stayed outside with me. She finally laid down on the patio and may have gone to sleep. Franny ran in and out a couple of times. Franny finally came outside & nudged my elbow. I think she wanted to go to bed but wasn't comfortable doing that without us coming in the house. She's such a caretaker! Praying for the people in that apartment building that collapsed last night in Surfside, Fla. Praying the search and rescue effort finds many more to rescue.

Good morning 😃 Today is one of our grandsons 10h birthday! His family, DD#3, with their dog Rocco, are at the beach. DD#2 & her family are also at the same beach, different places though.
Thankful to have heard back from the dermatologist office this morning. The biopsy done re a spot in my nose, last Tuesday, results are benign & normal.
Praying for Mel’s recovery from surgery, as well as May doing ok while he’s away from her.

Mel messaged me on facebook a little bit ago. This is great news, and pretty interesting too, I thought. I didn't know you could make such a donation when it came to donating your body parts. All I've ever heard of was eyes, skin, and internal organs. I think this is pretty neat. Mel also said he was told that recovery may take 3-4 months and he may have 6 months to a year of therapy to regain full range of motion. He can log on and post on Facebook from his phone, but he can't post on PF. He can log in and read our posts here though. He'll be able to keep up with whatever we're up to that way. It was great to hear from him! So, welcome back, Mel - partly, at least.

Thankful to have heard back from the dermatologist office this morning. The biopsy done re a spot in my nose, last Tuesday, results are benign & normal. Thanking God your results were good, Jeanette! Happy Birthday to your grandson. I hope DD#3 and DD#2 and their families have a great time at the beach. I'm thankful our dishwasher has a built in heater, so we're still getting clean, sanitized dishes. Part of me wishes I could stick the top & back of my head in there to wash my hair. We finally have an appt with a plumbing company from North Texas. They've scheduled us for Tuesday of next week, between 11 & 3. Heh, it could be worse - we could still be sitting here with no appt with anyone. And it could be the AC that isn't working. I'm real thankful we have AC!

Thank you Barb for the update from Mel!
Thank you for the birthday wishes, etc.
DD#3 had some knee surgery when first in college. Her research led her to use cadaver parts, as well as titanium screw. (?) This was back in maybe 2001 or so...

We finished cleaning out our little shop at the apartments. There wasn't much left - we filled up 4 or 5 small containers with nuts & bolts, a few plumbing parts, some electrical parts. We may never need them, but we can have a big yard sale when we finally full retire some year and sell them. I'll admit it - I was sad when I turned out the light in one part of the shop and walked out. It was such a great project: totally remodeling 6 apartments, a 1300+ sq ft house, and turning a 1-bedroom apartment into a shop and a laundry room for tenants. It was a very successful endeavor till the recent 4-5 years. We still had tenants there until last fall. I'm planning to go back maybe sometime early next week & pray over the whole place, and take some final photos. I'm not going to miss the property. I just hope I can put some of the funnier stories on paper, the fun tasks where we actually learned things by doing, and tenants we had & things they said and/or did. I wish that I had snapped a photo of each tenant, or family, who rented from us over the years. Now, I am going to take a shower. I'm melting in this heat so it will feel good!

Good morning! Happy Friday! I just heard that it's "Take Your Dog to Work Day!" These dogs are happy we work at home - every day is "Take Your Dog to Work Day" in their world. I've got to grocery shop this morning so I don't have to share the car this afternoon. Edward has floor duty at the office. Y'all have a great Friday! Stay cool & hydrated! Gotta google 'shark week', lol Have a great Friday! See y'all later...

Sweetie & I have each received a disconcerting email (him) or text (me) today. We think they're spam, but heading home soon to check bank accounts & credit cards. His was from Amazon & claimed to be a receipt for a $1399.00 camera body that he shipped to some guy in a town adjacent to Okla City. Mine was from PayPal, thanking me for using their services to check out & wanting to verify this was my correct phone #. later: Well, my bank account looks okay. Spammers who go at people that way should be disallowed access to any type of online service for many years. We showed a house this evening - in a nice neighborhood, good school district - and it's priced wayyyy too high because it needs a lot of work. Someone has backed a trailer up the roadbank, loaded up the shed that was standing in the backyard, and drove away with it. The 6' X 8' fence panel is laying in the yard where it had been removed so as to be out of the way for backing in the trailer. We were pretty disgusted. Our buyer just laughed & laughed. I hope the listing Realtor calls Sweetie for some feedback on the showing.
