Luv the new chat digs for summer Mel! That's a neat cat, sunning on the beach! ! edited to add: since I didn't get the low-carb chocolate pudding made from scratch, I looked at Wal-Mart this afternoon for some chocolatey dessert that wouldn't be too terrible to eat. I found a Cookies 'n Creme Mousse. It was in what looked like a jumbo pudding cup, and it had a finely ground layer of 'something' that proved to be Oreo cookie crumbs on the bottom and on the top. The light, fluffy pale chocolate mousse in the middle was made of I-don't-know-what but it was delicious. There were actually 2 servings in that big plastic cup so Sweetie & split it after dinner with some coffee. I think he's had a pretty good Father's Day. Y'all have a great rest of the evening. See y'all tomorrow. I love you guys!

Good morning 😃 Happy 1st Day of Summer to you all!
Friday: I picked up DD#3’s kiddos, store for snacks galore, & DH arrived home from a work related trip to Texas.
Saturday: we took these three grands to the Riverbanks Zoo in SC, a couple of hours drive there, spent about 6 hours there, then a couple hours drive back to our home.
Sunday: DH went to church, I stayed home with the grands, and cooked a meal of flank steak with little potatoes & green beans, DD#3 & her DH came to visit, enjoy lunch, and took their kiddos home. Afterwards, DS came by, enjoyed some food & visit with us, then DH & DS went to the range and enjoyed some time together. Afterward, they cleaning what they had used.
Meanwhile, while picking up stuff, I walked into a truck tire that was on the floor in the front room (aka storage room for now), tore up the nail on my left baby toe! What a mess!
Thankful for today! First official day of summer!

Good morning! It's barely 75 degrees outside, heavily overcast, and a few light sprinkles - almost a mist. It looks like most of the rain will miss us today, and it's hard to tell where the cold front is so it's unclear what the temperature is going to day. It could slide on down into the 60s, if the front hasn't passed us yet. Sounds like y'all had a good weekend, Jeanette! DS & L finished their TV hanging project, with the electric fireplace underneath. They texted a photo and it does look good. Hope y'all have a great Monday! later: The rain has missed us - yay! The temperature dropped to 67 degrees at 1 p.m. CT today. The wind was blowing steady and it was chilly. I had run around the house in shorts all morning, but I had to go run a couple of errands so I changed into jeans & real shoes. We had burgers and fries from Carl's Jr for a late lunch. I carried it out & brought it home. We worked in the garage for a bit after we ate - found some items to toss out. Also found a couple of sun shields to put in the truck and the car. It's supposed to be reach 100 again in a couple of days. We have the heavy bottom half of what used to be a cute little patio type table that looked like it would be perfect on the sidewalk of an ice cream shop. A dear friend gave it to us when we lived out in the mountains. We used that table around the house until we literally wore out the top (it had a lot of wear on it when she gave it to me). We tossed the top with the idea of putting a square piece of plywood on it, painting it, spraying the top with polyurethane, and using it. We admitted today that we're not going to do that because we don't need a little table like that these days. We've decided we'll put it in the yard with a free sign on it, and surely it will find a new home!

Good morning! We had an absolutely golden sunrise this morning. It was 59° at 7 a.m. How's everything going with you, Mel? Are you still having surgery tomorrow? Praying for you, brother, in all needs and concerns. The home warranty company we're with still has no one assigned to fix our water heater, which will not light. I called in this morning & the woman I spoke with said I can get the job done myself and if it's less than $100, they'll reimburse me. Once we get this hot water heater up & running - it's only 7 yrs old - we will be dropping this home warranty company because it is terrible.

As far as I know, it is still on for tomorrow although insurance is being a pain. The arm isn't hurting too bad today, but there is a constant ache. After the surgery, I will be staying with my aunt and uncle for a few days and I don't think that they have internet at their house. So if I seem to disappear from the board for a few days, it is probably no reason for concern. Prayers always appreciated.

I'm sure she'll be very concerned about you. And I am, and will be, praying for you - for your pain to lessen, your surgery to be successful, and your recovery to be quick and complete.

May will be staying at my house but have someone checking on her regularly.
She does not get along with other cats and they have several.

I can understand that - Miss May needs the refrigerator magnet I have. It reads: "She Who is Queen of Quite a Lot!" in flashy script. I can't post a pic, so I thought this would work. Gotta love a cat who knows her own mind.
