Oven-Baked Mississippi Chicken

Prep Time, about 10 minutes. Cook Time, about 25-30 minutes Serves 4
Ingredients:
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts 1 (1-oz) packet ranch dressing mix 1 (1-oz) packet Au Jus Gravy mix 1/3 cup sliced jarred pepperoncini peppers or banana peppers 1/2 cup butter, sliced
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 425ºF. Lightly spray a 9×13-inch pan with cooking spray.
2. Place chicken in the baking dish. Sprinkle with ranch seasoning and au jus gravy mix.
3. Top the chicken with pepperoncini peppers and top with butter slices.
4. Bake chicken for 25 to 30 minutes, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF.
Author Stephanie's Notes:
Can use any cut of chicken you prefer – tenderloins, breasts, or thighs.
Cook the chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF.
Do NOT make the ranch dressing or gravy. You are going to only use the dry mix.
If you are sensitive to the ranch seasoning mix, adjust it to your personal preference.

I used 4 turkey cutlets, and mixed the dry Ranch dressing and the dry Au-Jus mix together in a small dish and then sprinkled them atop the turkey cutlets. You can omit the pepperoncini or banana peppers, if you don't have them or don't care for them. I omit them. 425 degrees may be a bit hot, if using turkey cutlets. I'm going to try 400 the next time I bake these cutlets. You may want to reduce the amount of butter, but not by much. You'll know after making it a time or two what pleases you and your family. This recipe is delicious and it's quick and easy!
