Glad you were able to see your Mom this afternoon, Mel. Continuing to pray for your Mom, and for you. That pack-a-thon sounds pretty neat, Jeanette! DS & I received our new drivers licenses in today's mail. His has a pretty yellow star in the upper right corner, signifying it's a Real-ID. Mine says NOT FOR REAL-ID PURSPOSES in the upper right. Well, we're legal to drive! See y'all tomorrow -

Good morning!
We are having a chilly but bright and sunny morning here today.
May is being extra silly today for some reason.

Good morning, Jeanette ... Good morning, Mel ... That St George and the Dragon is a good one. We had a heavy storm roar through here around midnight last night. Our side of town didn't get the worst of it,thankfully. Some areas west & south of us had hail & high winds. I was happy the dogs settled down pretty quick after the storm passed so I had a pretty good night's sleep. SW Oklahoma vaccination sites are having a hard time filling their appointments. The state health dept is about to have a meltdown over this lack of interest. The next county east of here announced yesterday that anyone over 16 should call in for an appointment, and they'll get them scheduled. <-- that is a change from insisting people get on a computer to sign up.

Barb, I’ve attempted to send you a message about a website I’ve seen. I’m not sure it went through or not. I have totally forgot how to send private messages! la sigh

Your message has been received, Jeanette! Attachment DeletedThanks! I'll check out that site this evening. Our city council met at 2 p.m. today, which bugs many people who cannot attend or stream it from the city's website at that time, but that's a time that's supposed to save money, so they do it. The big thing: City Council voted to repeal the mask mandate. ... I wasn't watching so I don't really know how all inclusive that statement is, that's just the simple announcement being made on the local TV station, and on our patriot group's facebook page. I'm going to catch the start of the news at 5 p.m. so I can see if that's the opening story.

Good morning! It's cold this morning. The furnace has cut on twice in the past hour. I'm heading to the den to close the doggy door as soon as I post this. The local weather app says it's 47 but windchill is 41. The dogs are back to sleep. I can understand that - there wasn't enough going on outside to convince them to stay out there very long. Praying for your Mom and for you this morning, Mel. Hope all is well with you and your family, Jeanette. This verse sums up the desire of my heart. I love the picture so had to share it here.

I that photo of your Mom, Mel! She looks like she's really tickled about something. She & my mother were born the same year - my mother in the 1st week of October and your Mom in mid-November. (edited to add: it was surprising to see they were that close in age. My mother was always old for her age. ) That's a very nice obituary too.

It's a little chilly & rainy this evening. I've given the dogs each a calming chew and they're doing okay with the thunder, mostly hanging around under my feet but not acting too afraid. It has felt like a Friday, all afternoon & evening. I fixed tater tot casserole for dinner - prophecyfellowshipii.freeforums.net/thread/1395/tater-tot-casserole - it really hit the spot on this chilly evening. The lawn crew that mowed for us last season texted to say they'll be working again this season & inviting us to contact them if we'd like to be on their schedule. I sent them a happy text to say yes, I would like their services again. I don't like paying for mowing, but I have to keep the grass at the rentals I mow cut low to keep from running into trouble with the city's neighborhood services division. Well ... see y'all tomorrow.
