Vaccine rollout hits snag as health workers refuse shots

I'd really like to know what the stats look like for this town alone. I haven't heard anything about people being resistant. So far, all we've seen on the news are local people waiting in line to get vaccinated. Some have cried because they've been so happy to finally be able to get their first shot. They've made statements on camera about how they see this as the way to "get back to normal", "get their lives back", "be able to see their kids again." They've cried in line and sitting in the waiting area after they've gotten their shots, saying how relieved they're feeling.

We're not a very locked down state. There's not much you can't do here, so I don't understand all of the sheer terror and sorrow I've seen on the faces of these local people they've interviewed.

And, no - I don't think taking the 2 doses of the vaccine solves anything.

edited to add: It strikes me that getting the vaccine is to providing a return to normal life about as much as putting a band-aid on the gash in the hull of the Titanic is to returning the ship to sea-worthiness.
