Cream of Wheat announced that it will remove the depiction of a black chef from its packaging after a review of the logo revealed that some customers found it offensive. "For years, the image of an African-American chef appeared on our Cream of Wheat packaging. While research indicates the image may be based upon an actual Chicago chef named Frank White, it reminds some consumers of earlier depictions they find offensive," a representative for B&G Foods, the parent company of Cream of Wheat, told Good Morning America on Monday. "Therefore, we are removing the chef image from all Cream of Wheat packaging," the company said.

How ridiculous. They're actually demeaning to black chefs all over the country-and surely there are many.
