Federal investigators found this week that nine military ballots had been discarded in Luzerne County, according to U.S. Attorney David Freed. The investigation, which includes the FBI and Pennsylvania State Police, began on Monday at the request of Luzerne County District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis, Freed wrote in a letter to Shelby Watchilla, the county elections director. Investigators found nine military ballots had been discarded, the letter states. Seven of them were not inside envelopes, and the votes had been cast for President Donald Trump.
Two had been recovered by elections staff, reinserted into the envelopes and resealed, the letter states. Those votes are unknown.

It's tough for the military because they often must vote absentee. I always wondered if my votes were even counted. Fortunately, I only voted mail-in for 3 years and then I changed my home of record to Oklahoma because I had left active duty and was in the Army Reserve, and was married to a soldier who'd changed his home of record to Oklahoma as well.
