Mel, I finished listening to your pastor's sermon. It's good - he's a good speaker too, researches the subject and the scripture to go with it, from all appearances. Yes, in my opinion, Adam is one of the best pastors and best Bible study teachers that I have ever had the privilege of learning under. I hardly ever disagree with any of what he teaches (and so far, I have never disagreed with him at all on anything major).
When he first came to our church as the new lead pastor after our last one retired four years ago, several families from his previous church where he had been assistant pastor moved their membership to our church to stay with him.
Before going into full time ministry, he was a high school teacher and also spent a year doing overseas missions work with Campus Crusade for Christ in East Asia.
He is currently working toward earning his Master of Divinity degree in the area of Bible Exposition.

I ran a few errands this morning and went to the grocery store for my parents and had an early lunch with them. At noon it is still really dark here but no rain yet except for a few brief sprinkles.

Those dark skies would be depressing to me. Hope you don't have too much rain, Mel. I just received a really weird spam text message. The text started with my actual first name: Debora, which is without a doubt a woman's name, and then read, "we can help you in getting paid a cash settlement if you were abused as a boyscout." Oh, my goodness - is that implying I'm a transgender? Or maybe I was male in a past life & was a boyscout then? Or, more likely, the sending organization is simply too lame to cull feminine names from their address list. Who knows. I texted back the word STOP to opt-out. It would be funny to respond and string them along, but that's fraud so I won't waste my time (not that I care if I waste their time ) Oh, well.

Good morning! We are having a cold but sunny day here.
I woke up this morning craving pizza, so I guess I know what I'm going to make for lunch.

Good morning! We are having a cold but sunny day here. I woke up this morning craving pizza, so I guess I know what I'm going to make for lunch. Good morning! Chilly overnight - into the upper 40s, but supposed to reach 90 this afternoon. And then another coldfront is expected this evening. ... oh, so not typical. Enjoy that pizza, Mel! What are your favorite toppings? We're currently into meatballs for the meat on our pizzas. And we like the typical things: mushrooms, onions, pineapple. We 'think' we're staying home all day & working here. Hope so, we'll get so much more done. And that would be a good way to finish the month! We'll see.

Edit to add: Just wanted to add that there are very few pizza topping that I don't like. The only 2 pizza toppings that are commonly popular around these parts that I don't like at all are pineapple and coconut (Although I do like both of those things otherwise, just not on my pizza).

Well that was definitely a fully loaded pizza!
Since we don't eat pork, I don't put Canadian bacon on pizza any more. I used to luv that, with fresh tomato slices & pineapple. We both really like the pineapple, but Sweetie's not a big fan of fresh tomatoes so we dropped those. If I'm making the pizza myself, I'm happy with a white sauce, lots of fresh spinach, mushrooms, thinly sliced onions, and pineapple. I haven't done a veggie pizza like that in awhile ... Hmmm
We're having baked turkey cutlets for dinner tonight, with mushrooms, artichokes, and zucchini. Zucchini isn't in the recipe, but I have some and we luv that veggie so I'm pretty sure it will fit into that dish just fine.

Good evening, all! We've been on the go today. FaithyJ went to the vet for a 'spa day'. She had a bath, they washed out her ears, trimmed her toenails, tested her for heartworms, and gave her all of her annual shots. She was diagnosed with arthritis in her hips, and that's not unusual with these big dogs as they get older (she's 12). I'm going to give her something for joint pain this evening. We discovered, when we dropped her off, that the passenger-side back window would not move. We took the Tahoe to our mechanic buddy and he knew exactly what it was so fixed it for us. After we dropped the Tahoe with him, I took the car and went to the commissary to grocery shop. It was a busy place, being payday. I found a great almost-5lb turkey breast to roast up for Thanksgiving, the cooler cases have just been stocked-yay. Only thing I didn't get was produce. I'll make a run to Wal-Mart for that, probably in the morning. Anyway, we picked up FaithyJ around 4:30, and the Tahoe around 5, lol. Faithy's happy to be home, even tho' she had a pretty good time at the vet's. She's snoozing in her cubby now.

Allum Bokhari, author of #Deleted. This author was just interviewed by Tucker Carlson. The author said the American public has no idea what's going on in Silicon Valley these days. Racism is running riot, he says. People who work in these high tech industries are beginning to come forward, at the risk of losing their careers & all that they have if they're figured out, to get the word out about how Critical Race Theory (Mel! - what your pastor preached on!) is being applied to all kinds of companies and high tech applications. He said we should all memorized the phrase "Machine learning fairness" - but I'm not sure what that means. I don't want to stay up late, but I'm going to have to watch Tucker Carlson again at 11 p.m. (I'm sleepy now, not sure I can stay awake )

46 here this morning. Chilly in the house, definitely. Might get up to the mid-70s this afternoon. The lawn service that mows our association property roared through the green belt behind us on 3 riding law mowers at about 100 mph just before 9 a.m. I shut the dogs back in the house, telling them the crew didn't need their help - they were racing along the fence, barking. Praying for the President and First Lady today, as well as all of their family & staff. Praying for the needs of our country. Praying for all of our members here today too, in all needs.
