Shared somewhere in the foggy Wichita Mts by a friend ... so I copied it to remind myself to avoid doomscrolling. Good night!

Good morning 😃
It’s 61 degrees right now. It’s been a rainy night & appears to be a rainy day into the weekend.
Yesterday, I’ve reserved a machine with a vacuum attachment to grind the cement down in the foyer. I’ll meet DH at the rental place with the paperwork, as he’ll pick it up on his way in from the airport this afternoon. I want to get the tarp down from the attic in the garage, too. Praying this finishes the job re tile removal in the 120 sq foot foyer, which is a t-shape. DD#3 was doing her best to find someone who would finish this job up, dust free etc, but the one guy who was interested would have been using the same demolition hammer ~ lots of dust etc.
I’ve been moving stuff from the downstairs to the garage & mainly upstairs to get it out of the way. DH & kiddos (?) plan to remove the bottom cabinets & flooring from the downstairs, once this concrete “Murphy’s Law” is leveled. Thankful new flooring was delivered this past Tuesday & is in the garage.
Praying that as our Lord allows, once the concrete mess is handled, I can clean the walls, etc, especially in the kitchen. DH & DD#3 will then paint the kitchen before the cabinets arrive & are installed. The cabinets are scheduled for installation on 10/14-10/15. Granite is scheduled to be installed on 10/22.
“Just a couple more weeks!”
I don’t like change, “but God” is teaching me a few things in the midst of my DH’s “renovation project”. I’m not quite sure what it is yet though! lol
I’ve also gotten to the gym three days this week. I figure when I’m out running errands, if there time & energy, I go before I head home.
The other day, I had a burger while out. Yesterday, I stopped at a family run Italian place & had a late lunch of lasagne & a cannoli. I ate half of each and brought the rest with me & ate it for dinner. 😋
Thankful for this day that the LORD has made! Thankful to be another day closer to Jesus’ call to meet Him in the air!

Good morning, Jeanette and Mel and Scott! It was 60 when I headed outside with the dogs a bit ago, but it sure felt chilly. Supposed to make it all the way to 90 today. I had the best night's sleep last night that I've had in a long time. Thankful for that! Luv that name you've given the front foyer floor project, Jeanette. The "Murphy's Law" flooring. I'm waiting on MikeJ to text me he's home so I can head over to pick him up & run errands. Praying for you and your memories this morning, Mel.

Praying for you and your memories this morning, Mel. Thank you. I can really use some prayers today.
I was already feeling a bit down in the dumps this morning over today being Sharon and my wedding anniversary; but then on top of that, I got the news this morning that one of my cousins passed away. He was the twin brother of the other cousin that just passed away in January of this year.
He was a lot older than me and we weren't really close, but it still came as a shock.

You're quite welcome, Mel. Cool morning here with a heavy dew. Supposed to climb into the low 90s this afternoon. We have a fence board that looks like somebody cut a rectangle out of - it's along the green belt at the far end of the backyard, just above Franny's nose level if she cranes her neck. I haven't looked to see if the piece of wood is in the yard, but I will as soon as the dew dries up a little. Hope you each and all have a great Saturday!

It is really dark and cloudy here today, but at least it's not too cool. At lunchtime, it is 66 degrees with a high of 70 forecast for this afternoon.

Ahhh, too cute! You can tell they're being fed treats & don't seem to mind the costumes. The board that was damaged looks to be partly cut & partly broken off. The missing piece is lying right inside the yard so this did happen intentionally from the outside. We have an extra fence board that's almost like new that we're going to replace that with, soon as the Okla Univ football game is over.

Edward fixed the fence. Think I'll leave the back patio light on tonight. It's been a little strange around here the past few days and I'm creeped out of my skin. Friday morning, the garage door was open - and it wasn't open at 11:30 p.m. the night before so I don't know when/how that happened. I told Edward he might need to turn up the sound on the alarm box - we call the voice "Go Girl". We can't hear all the way back in the bedroom, and the dogs aren't hearing her either. They recognize her voice saying, "Main. Garage Door." They head straight for the door to the laundry room when they hear her say that. Leela would have been flying out of bed whining, all excited to see 'who' opened the garage door, but she didn't hear anything. We could always set the alarm at 'Stay' and it would go off like a klaxon if one of the doors opened. I'm not sure my heart could stand that at 4 in the morning!

Sunny, humid, and warm here today. Up to 86 degrees already. There's a coldfront coming ... hopefully a dry one. I did leave the back patio light turned on last night, but I probably won't do that again. I woke up at one point and thought I'd had a great night's sleep, stretched, got up - thinking it was probably close to 7 a.m. When I walked past the chest of drawers with the digital clock setting on the top, the clock read 12:36 a.m. I looked at the clock in the bathroom - it's an old manual style clock - and it read about the same. I checked my cell phone and it said the same thing. And then it hit me - the patio light was shining in the bedroom enough that it looked like daybreak. I didn't sleep well at all. Woke up often & checked the clock every time. Finally, after daybreak, I re-set my alarm and slept till just after 8 a.m. Hope you all have a great Sunday!
