Just traded in $40 worth of lottery tickets for only $15 worth of winners. nd that's why they call it gambling! But it is fun to play the lottery once in awhile

I rarely eat chicken (as a general rule, I just don't care for it much), but I have been seeing advertisements from one of our local restaurants for their limited time hot and spicy chicken nuggets, so I decided to give them a try just to have something different for a change. They were not bad, but I don't think that I would get them again. May on the other hand was completely wild over them. I didn't think that she would want something that spicy, but she kept jumping up on the table and meowing at me, so I peeled the breading off of one of the nuggets and broke up the meat inside for her. She wolfed it all down and then came back for seconds and then thirds.

I say that to tell you, I've worked my way down to the end of Matthew 10:14 with one of those anti-christians (he's not simply unsaved) who I've been praying for. I told him - he is free to hold any opinions he chooses, and I won't bother him any more. If he ever popped onto my facebook or messenger page with a question, I'd probably answer. I will still pray him& have hope for the salvation of his soul. It can be frustrating when friends, family, or other people you know don't seem to be at all responsive to the truth, but you never know when something else somewhere down the road could cause the Gospel seed you planted to suddenly sprout months or even years later.
"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. (Isa 55:8-11 NKJV)

I'm hoping that will be the case, Mel. I'm not going to spend more time engaging him because I don't have the time. I really have some other serious responsibilities that I have to be about completing. I'm praying someone who functions like a velvet covered brick will get close to him & bring him out of that awful rage that's clouding his mind.

We ate an early dinner at home - half a meatloaf and some baked beans - and then ran off to show a spectacular home to a friend of ours. The house has structural issues; one end of the house is literally breaking away from the rest of the house. It would be quite expensive, given this Okla soil, to 'fix'it. It was a little frustrating - such a great house, so many unique features, and yet, all of that work needed. Nonetheless, it was a fun way to spend an hour. Sweetie treated me to a single dip brownie fudge sundae on the way home.

We've had a blanket of rain, with tiny drops smaller than pin heads, falling over this area for a couple of hours now. If it were 30 degrees cooler, it would be sleeting! (It's 64 degrees outside right now. ) Good night, y'all! I love you guys!

Good morning! Patchy fog & heavy blue-gray cloud cover this morning. The grass is soaking wet, which makes me wonder if that blanket of pinhead drizzle hung around all night. The cats in our lives bring us joy, and some wisdom, don't they? A friend is moving to a little more rural area just west of here. She said their middle-aged housecat is not being overly cooperative when she's packing. The cat ends up in every box, the minute she turns her back. I reminded her that boxes are cat magnets!

Love that body-slammin' cat, Mel! ... One of our cats loved to jump up to shoulder height & scare us half to death when we walked through the house in the dark, but I don't remember any of the three jumping on us in bed. Each was too busy, during their individual reign, sleeping snuggled up to us. I grocery-shopped this afternoon, and found some great prices. Didn't buy much more than planned at the commissary, and was really pleased that I kept what I spent to a minimum. There wasn't much canned dog food; and almost no t.p. or paper towels. Eggs & milk were in short supply today too. Wal-Mart was just as bad, except they had 3 packages of t.p. so I bought one; and they had the brand of paper towels we like so I picked up one of those too. Even though things are back to normal in some ways, they're as bad or worse in others, at both stores. See y'all tomorrow!

May has been known to make a flying leap from the top of the dresser to the bed on more than one occasion. I your cat! May is really special! Of course, you know that - she's your cat.
The dishwasher is running, so now I can head to bed and read for a bit before turning out the light.

Good morning! It is a cool but not too cool 60 degree day here.
I ran a couple of quick errands this morning to the bank and the grocery store, and then had an early brunch with my parents.
When I got home a little while age, May quickly checked out the grocery bags and found her cat treats.

Good morning! Foggy overnight and chilly - into the 50s. It's turning off beautiful in this late morning.
I've been outside with the dogs and rearranged a kitchen cabinet this morning. I'm back to sorting files now.
Hope y'all have a great day!
