Good evening everyone!
This morning, I made a healthy smoothie & finished it around 8 am. I was able to get the auto serviced at the dealership today. Of course it took longer due to recalls & other stuff it was due for. So I arrived at 8:50 and was through with checking out at 2:10. I had taken food, magazines, phone & charging cord. Murphy’s Law rules. Anyway, around noon, I walked to a nearby eatery and had a fabulous unhealthy comfort food lunch with sweet tea. I had left my food in the auto that was being worked on & decided that instead of requesting my go to food (Sardines or salmon packet, crackers & 1/2 an orange), I’d go for yummy. lol
Meanwhile, DH & DD#3 we’re at the house re the cabinets two appointments for cabinet measurements. They had food I had left here. They offered to bring me food, but once I saw this eatery close by, I had a game plan for when hungry.
Afterwards, I went to the gym on my way home and reserved a 3 o’clock fitness center workout time. So I workout out the comfort food for an hour and half.
Headed home & cooked a meal for DH. I was wanting some greens, cucumbers, tomatoes & cheese.

Good morning! The weather's a little creepy around here this morning - atmospheric conditions, I'm sure, are creating the feeling. I have to stop somewhere for milk this afternoon. You've got me wanting a cucumber and tomato cut up in some oil & vinegar, Jeanette. It sounds so good! That car servicing appointment certainly took a long time. Are you happy with the results? We need to take FaithyJ in for an annual checkup and shots sometime this week. I also need heartworm pills for Fran and Leela. FaithyJ has plenty to get through the next 6 months at least. Yesterday afternoon I went by the water dept to pay a bill on the triplex and the guy who waited on me was not wearing a mask. He couldn't hear me - they've reset the room so people are about 3' from the edge of the counter, and the employees are about 2-1/2' back of the plexiglass shield they've put up. After the 2nd time, he chuckled and said, "oh, I can't hear anything through masks!" I jerked my mask off and said, "Me neither! I think this is a better way to do business!" I thought the man was gonna pass out. He wouldn't look at me, frantically told me to, "put it back on! Protect yourself!" I casually put my mask back on and told him, "These masks provide no protection. That's a popular misconception." We completed the transaction & I left. Had to bite my tongue not to wave and call out to them as I left - "Be sure y'all go by Buffalo Grove Coffee Shop and sign the petition to recall the mayor!" I thought of your post, Mel!

By the way Barb, I'm not sure what made me think of it just now, but (if you don't mind me asking)I was wondering if you were still working on the chronological Bible reading plan that you mentioned a while back? I don't mind you asking, Mel. I get sidetracked on reading chronologically, but I keep going back to it. I'm at the start of Judges. So I've read, in this order: Genesis Job Exodus w/Psalm 90 Leviticus Numbers Deuteronomy w/Psalm 91 Joshua I've read all over the place in Isaiah, Judges, Proverbs, Psalms, Romans, Acts, Luke, Hosea and Revelation besides that, however, so I haven't been without scriptures. I'm reading my way through the articles and daily devotions in Pathway to Victory's current September-October magazine right now.

This morning I turned my furnace on for a while for the first time this year. As soon as it started, silly May went running all over the house to look into every heat vent like she wanted to make sure they were all working. Goofy cat!

More and more as I see events unfolding in the world recently, I am more convinced than I have ever been before that the time for Christ to Rapture His Church is very very near. Last evening, I had the urge to sit down and reread the entire Book of Revelation from beginning to end. One thing that really stood out to me this time was that even after the Church is Raptured, one of the purposes of the Tribulation is to bring about the biggest spiritual revival in history before the final Return of Christ at the end of that awful period of history. So while I hate the thought of my unsaved friends and family being left behind to live through the horrors of that time, I also have hope that maybe, just maybe, that is what would finally be enough to get through to some of them and bring them to Christ finally even if they can't be reached before. That will be awesome. I know the cousins on my dad's side of the family are a real mess - I check up on them in facebook occasionally and then duck back out of their lives. I don't see much evidence that many of them are Christians, and those who are appear to usually avoid the rest of them. So it will be awesome if the whole bunch of them who remain have a great awakening and turn to Christ! I agree with you - given world events, I think the rapture could occur at any time.

We haven't turned on the furnace yet, tho' it's been tempting a few nights. I usually try not to turn the furnace on until at least early October, but last night got down to around 40 degrees toward morning and 3 of the next 4 nights are forecast to have lows in the low to mid 40s too. Even most of the daytime highs for the rest of the week are only predicted to be in the low to mid 60s.

Temperatures are below normal here, and it looks like they'll stay that way for the next 10 days, and probably stay dry. Not anywhere near as cool as you're having, however. I'm sure we'd have the heat on if it were that cold here. The artillery is firing today. The atmospheric conditions are 'flattening' the sound. Leela and Fran are wishing they'd break for lunch. They want to be outside, but not with that noise! Poor hounds, but typical for a Tuesday.

Good evening y’all
Today’s adventures with very little rest/sleep was: I attended a tow hour women’s study using “the armor of God” book by Phyllis Shirer. Socially distant, masks on unless sitting in your spot.
Afterwards, I drove, as I didn’t have a phone number, to attempt to get the mammogram place to bill insurance correctly. They weren’t there, but I did get a phone number.
Home, food, YouTube a little, then continued with the “insurance dance” via the computer & phone.
DH met up with DD#3 at her family’s home. She borrowed some sort of bits for a tool DH borrowed from work to attempt to get the ceramic tile off from the foyer. The one thing the builder actually had installed correctly was this tile!
Meanwhile, I watered the plants & took a bike ride on the greenway. I stopped at different spots & took selfies & sent them to DH & all our kiddos with sayings like: “where’s grandmom at?” The pictures were by wildflowers, the creek where they toss rocks, the beaver den, (beavers weren’t out), the sun setting and by a Sasquatch shaped gate For someone’s yard.
Once home, had made a snack. DH & I were watching YouTube videos of someone DD#2 recommended & someone else I’ve watched before. DH went into the kitchen for a snack. He asked me why there was water all over the counter & I didn’t know. There was a whole lot of water! Towels, bills, binders, etc etc were covered in this watery mess which turned out to be a whole watermelon that had disintegrated on the counter extremely fast! All over the counters, down the counters, floor, bills, non-bills, everything & everywhere! The smell was so horrible! Oh my! 🤮 Thankfully we got it cleaned up & shared the story with all of our kiddos!
Thankful we discovered it when we did, instead of say when I’m unable to sleep and go downstairs or first thing in the morning! It’s been at least a couple of weeks since I bought that watermelon!
Washer & dryer were ran, so as to clean up ...
Grouphug Good night

Good morning, Jeanette! That ^^^ is such a cool idea!
Your watermelon story, though - that was mind boggling.
Good morning, Mel ... Good morning, Scott ... Cool & humid here. 10 o'clock last night it was hot and so humid, it felt smothering. Odd weather we're having.
later: Hope you all are doing well this morning.
Leela, Fran & I went out back just minutes after 6 this morning - it was still dark. We came back inside & they went back to bed; I dove into a project I'm working on. About sunrise, FaithyJ woke up & decided she'd like a trip outside, so off we went again. The 3 of them went back to bed and slept awhile.
Almost 10 am, the Diva - FaithyJ - decided to stretch and yawn and wake up for real. Fran and Leela were thrilled to go outside with her, so off they went. A couple minutes later, I heard Faithy bark in the florida room - a disgusted, frustrated bark. I knew Franny must have 'done something' so I headed for the florida room to check on them.
FaithyJ was at the inside edge of the doggy door that leads to the patio. I could see a shadow blocking the door on the outside. I knew - Franny walked just outside and stopped, so Faithy couldn't go through the door. Guarantee you, Franny did that on purpose, just to mess with Faithy.
As soon as I opened the door from the den, Fran heard me and innocently trotted out into the yard and Faithy was able to go outside. Those dogs are so ornery!

Good afternoon! It was 45 degrees here again this morning. It's still a bit chilly here this afternoon, but it is sunny and beautiful otherwise. I took my car in to the garage this morning for an oil change and to replace a burned out brake light. I also made a quick stop at the grocery store and picked up a few prescriptions for my parents.
