Contemporary Christian and pop singer Amy Grant underwent open-heart surgery to fix a rare heart condition on Wednesday. After going in for a regular checkup, Grant discovered earlier this year she has had a heart condition called partial anomalous pulmonary venous return (PAPVR) all of her life, TODAY reports.
Grant went in for open-heart surgery on Wednesday, and according to a statement on her official Facebook page, the surgery was a success.
"Thank you for so many prayers today. Amy is out of surgery and the doctor said it could not have gone better. We would ask for continued prayers over the days, weeks and months to come as she makes a full recovery ... xo," the update read.

Happy to hear the surgery was successful. Praying she makes a thorough recovery - she should be better than ever.
