Two volunteers were injected, the first of more than 800 people recruited for the study.
Half will receive the Covid-19 vaccine, and half a control vaccine which protects against meningitis but not coronavirus.
The design of the trial means volunteers will not know which vaccine they are getting, though doctors will.

I suppose it's necessary to start working on a vaccine, mmmm...but... Considering how ineffective the annual flu shot has been for many years, I'm ambivalent about a vaccine for covid-19.

Given my past very bad experiences with the flu shot, as well as my known allergies to the tetanus vaccine and a few others, I have no intention of willingly taking this new vaccine when it does become available.
