CHICAGO β A good Samaritan has offered to spring for hotel rooms for 70 people who were camped out in tents overnight in the bitter cold after their propane tanks were confiscated, leaving them without any source of heat.
The 70 people had set up tents and spent the night in a makeshift camp on Roosevelt Road near the Dan Ryan Expressway. By 6 a.m. Wednesday, the temperature had sunk to minus 22 with a wind chill of 49 degrees below zero.

The Good Samaritan who's paying for this put these people up for the rest of the week ... probably at least 3 days, maybe 4. This is great! I'm thankful there are people with the resources to do such a thing.
