Thanks, Jeanette! I grocery-shopped at the central Wal-Mart this morning. It was very clean and pretty well-stocked. There weren't many people there, about 9:30. I picked up over half the items on my list, which was more than expected. I'd split the list between the commissary and Wal-Mart, but Wal-Mart really had some good prices on good produce, cheese, and roast beef deli meat. We have a marketing webinar at 2, and after that I'm going to make a commissary run to pick up the remaining items I didn't get at Wal-Mart. I'll also swing by the triplex to see if the tenants' trash carts have been delivered. A friend's granddaughter, Addie, has been admitted to the hospital where they live in GA. She went in running a fever of 105, and her pulse was racing over 200. The pulse rate is what prompted the decision to keep her overnight. She's a little sweetie - 5 yrs old, I think, maybe 6. Please pray for an accurate diagnosis and the fever to break. Please pray for her mama Brittany, and Grandma Becky too - they're nervous wrecks about now. Thanks!

Thank you all for prayers for Addie. Her temp is down to 99.3; her pulse is down to 99. They didn't find anything in her blood work; and she tested negative for flu and strep. Her covid test will take 48 hrs to come back, but they're not really suspecting that either. Her urinalysis hadn't come back yet, but as of late afternoon, the ER doc was suspecting a severe UTI. She was sent released to home this afternoon. The Grandma (my friend Becky) took Addie and Addie's mother Brittany, and Becky's younger daughter Shawna, back to WV to visit relatives they haven't seen in a couple of years. They had a great week, but you know Addie could have gotten dehydrated or picked up some bug ... Anyway, Brit will be contacting her pediatrician to follow-up.

I'm about to call it a night too ... I need to get up & around in the morning. It's gonna be hot this weekend -high 90s. So, I'd like to get some work done in the backyard before the thermometer climbs up too high. See y'all in the a.m. ...

Good morning! It is a fairly cool 55 degree morning here. Today's high is only forecast to be in the low 70s. I plan to go to my parents' house later this morning to get their grass mowed and then make a pot of chili for our lunch.

Praying your day goes well, Jeanette! Praying for your DD#2! Having to wear a mask all day is enough of a drain on a person, but topping that off with a migraine has to be terrible. Hope all goes well with your grass, Mel. Are y'all seeing an unusual number of snakes this spring? That's going on around these parts. It's 63 but feels chilly outside. Forecast is calling for the high 90s today and dry. I'm all for that dry part. Y'all have a great Saturday!

Attachment Deleted ... We're home between real estate appointments. I've reconnected with a gal I worked with in the early 80s & Edward has her under contract now for buying a new construction home. We met up at the house today so she could show it to some of her relatives who live locally. That was a lot of fun! We're home now so I can put together a meatloaf for this evening's dinner, and then we're going to show a house to a gal from Iowa whose son lives here. She was a customer 3 years ago, but didn't buy. Her son was with her and he ended up buying a beautiful, large home on the SW side of town. He works for a defense contractor & is currently deployed to the Middle East with them. His mother called me today & said she's actually interested in finding 3 homes - 1 for her, 1 for her elderly mother, and 1 for her brother. I really suspect they'll end up buying 2 homes & her mother will live with her. We'll see. We just want to get her in to a home here now, since she's once again interested.

Good evening!
Got the grass mowed at my parents' place and helped Dad to do some minor repairs around their house.
Probably should have tried to mow my own yard too, but decided to let it go till another day.
The chili turned out really good, and I think that we all ate a little too much.
Just enjoying a quite evening at home now with crazy cat May. She is extra playful this evening for some reason.

I thought that the Catholic charity that kept sending me those Guardian Angel medals might have finally given up because I hadn't heard from them since February, but today's mail included medal #26. Still not sending them a donation.

Still not sending them a donation. It sounds like a cat 'n mouse game between them and you. It was good to see the gal from Iowa. We're gonna work on finding her a home to buy. I'm tired now. We've been home long enough to have some dinner - meatloaf and faux mashed potatoes (mashed cauliflower). I'm about to get Mr. Ge'dogg a pain pill and something to eat. After that, I may just go to bed.

We're each tempted to go back to the meatloaf for another helping, but we're agreeing we should probably put it in the fridge & eat it tomorrow. We'll see.
Maybe it's the weather - strikes Miss May as perfect for playing.
