The U.S. Secret Service said cybercrooks are circulating emails that appear to be from hospitals and health organizations. The messages include attachments with information about COVID-19.
According to the Secret Service, scammers are also circulating ads for in-demand medical supplies, such as surgical masks, hand sanitizers and paper products. Those ads can be an effort to get your credit card information and compromise your computer. The Secret Service said the scammer may also demand payment up front, and then fail to deliver the ordered products.
