Good morning! It is 55 degrees and raining hard here this morning. The temperature is expected to drop into the low 40s later today. I didn't sleep very well last night - lots of strange and disturbing dreams.

Good morning! It's 72, on the way to 'nearly 80'. I doubt the weather will change much over the day. The air is certainly filled with spring allergens this a.m. Started the morning right off dealing with the same problem tenants from last night at the big apartment complex. I haven't talked to any any of them ... but have called the plumber, and one of our contractors, to check on some possible water issues. The fighters can hold their grudge match in the parking lot without our involvement - they started at 7:15 this morning. I have to check what phase the moon is in - something is certainly setting off these gals. I told Nita, who I was also texting with, that those yahoos messed up my dinner, I wasn't going to let them mess up my breakfast too!I was heading in the kitchen to fry up a pan of bacon. She told me to silence the phone and enjoy breakfast! I'm energized for the day now - breakfast of bacon & eggs, 1/2 an avocado, and a slice of that fruit bread N baked for us. Hope you all have a great Friday!

Tuesday night this week was this month's New Moon. The full moon is on Thursday night the 23rd. That pretty much explains things. We've discovered that people are almost as loony during the dark of the moon phase as they are during the full moon phase.
They should be more-or-less straightened up between Monday, the 13th and Sunday, the 19th.
And, then - we'll be in the full moon phase, when anything can break loose.

I'm tired tonight. Nita & I made a pact - we're going to spend this weekend chilling out. Whatever we each do, it will be things we want to do, and it will not involve talking to tenants. If they have crises, they can call the police. If they have equipment breakdowns, they can enter workorders online through their tenant portals. We're under our own 'cones of silence' for the weekend. Iris is going to Florida to visit her son - she said she'll miss us, as she walked out the door. We assured her we'll miss her too! But we told her to have a great week away! So, looking for a great weekend, with lots being accomplished here at home.

Hello ~ It's a gloomy 77 here this afternoon. We have rain in the forecast, but I don't think it's supposed to be storms or deluges. Unlike the last couple of weeks. The Annual Arts for All Festival is ongoing this weekend. It's the 50th year for it. Always a really big festival in these parts - visual arts of all media, some singing & dancing on two stages - everything from elementary school cloggers & junior ballerinas to local recording artists. About 3 blocks of the main drag east-west at the edge of downtown is closed off & the festival occurs in an open field up to the edge of the street. The lawn crew is here, mowing. I'm very happy about that because this rain really makes the grass grow!

Good morning! It is 48 degrees and very cloudy here this morning. We had heavy rain and thunder storms overnight, and there are reports of possible tornadoes a few miles south of here. Hope you are all having a great Sunday!

Good morning! It's currently 65 and only expected to reach the low 70s today. Rain is expected to arrive before 11, and then the forecast calls for thunderstorms all day. We had light rain overnight, I'm not really sure how much but at least some. The puptots woke me up at 5:25 this morning and the walk out front was dry. They woke me up again a little before 7 and the walk out back was dry. I'm guessing, with all that dry concrete, that we didn't have too much rain overnight. I'm about to run out side & see if I can trim up the shrubby growth on the tree growing at the mailboxes out front before the rain starts up again. I really hope y'all have a wonderful Sunday! As for me, being DS's mother is the greatest thing that's ever happened to me - and I certainly give Yahweh God all the credit for bringing us that baby to adopt! Happy Mother's Day to those who celebrate it.

The weatherman was correct! The thunderstorm rolled in about 10:15, just as I was finishing up cutting the scrub growth on the 2 trees out front that are entertwined & growing between our & neighbor's mailboxes. I was done with 17 minutes to spare before 1st Baptist's church service began. I grabbed a fresh cup of coffee and the book we're working through, Not All Roads Lead to Heavn, and pulled up a chair to watch. It was a good sermon, with lots of answers we can use when we're being confronted, or attacked, by people who insist God would not condemn a genuinely good person because they'd never asked Jesus into their life, and all kinds of variations on the subject. The dogs have been having a ball out playing in the old pool - catching & releasing frogs. Leela carried a small frog up out of the pool and laid it at my feet on the patio. I laughed - told her that was not really what I wanted for Mother's Day, but she did a good job of catching it! Edward guided it back into the pool & it hopped off on the mud hills created by these dogs' feet. I finally made them come inside because I figured they'd been out there long enough & that water is surely cold. They're settling down to take naps now. Hope y'all have a great afternoon!
